LISTEN: I DO NOT WANT/NEED YOUR MONEY. I am solely doing this out of the goodness of my heart because I love/belief in the Trail & the impact it’s had on my life. At this point, I figure my thru-hike is kaput anyway. I’m only at Harper Ferry & I’m slow, fat, & F’ing IQ of a brick… there no better way to give back at this point. It’d seriously just be nice if I didn’t have to foot all of this bill on my own dime. That’s all. If do have to, I ALREADY AM.

My name is Dan Fro (aka ][ron£|_|nG). I’m a thru-hiker just like anyone else on the AT. I also happen to have a lot of experience/skills that are useful in situations such as the current state of affairs.

I also happen to be in a unique situation to provide assistance/relief to a many great deal of those in need from the Hurricane Helene disaster.

I am currently at my home in FL; purchasing a massive 7.3L twin-turbo diesel service truck/RV for myself… & I would like to install a tow winch/bumper & get as many supplies as I can squeeze into this truck along with a chainsaw, ton of lines, shackles, & pulleys. & we gonna get to work.

The picture attached is of Uncle Johnny’s Nolichucky Hostel in Erwin, TN; it was one of my absolute favorite locations I have stayed at thus far along the AT.

I plan to head directly there first & based on how much good I can get done there, Station 19E, etc. moving northbound… until I can put myself back on the AT.

All funds acquired here WILL go directly to relief efforts, supplies, etc. absolutely nothing will go back into my pocket; not even diesel/gas for the truck. Have my word on that.

While I’d rather just acquire hard goods & people to load up & go help, I realize not everyone is as opportune as I am currently. Can be a lot more effective/raise more funds to help more people.
