Hi, my name is Iris, and I’m a single mom doing everything I can to build a better life for my kids and myself.
This past year has been the hardest but also the most life-changing of my life. By the grace of God, I found the strength to leave behind the life I was living and enter rehab to face my struggles with alcohol and drug use. It wasn’t easy, but I knew deep down that God had more in store for me and for my children. Today, I am blessed to say I am almost 11 months sober.
Sobriety has been a gift from God. It has allowed me to be present with my children, to love them the way they deserve, and to walk in faith knowing that He is guiding our steps. Every day, I lean on Him for strength, and every day He reminds me that I am not alone in this journey.
I’m currently working full-time and attending college, maintaining a 4.0 GPA as I pursue a degree in Licensed Chemical Dependency Counseling. My dream is to use my testimony to bring hope to others who are struggling — to show them that with faith, hard work, and the right support, recovery and redemption are possible.
Right now, I’m trying to take the next step forward: finding a safe and stable apartment for me and my kids. With the rising costs of rent, bills, and everyday expenses, it has been overwhelming trying to do it all on my own. That’s why I’m reaching out and humbly asking for help.
Every donation, no matter the amount, is an answered prayer. It will go directly toward helping me cover the costs of an apartment, utilities, and the needs of my children. Every dollar is a blessing and brings us closer to the safe home and stability we’ve been praying for.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for sharing, and for supporting us. I am so grateful to God for the people He places in my life, and your generosity means more than I can ever express.
With love, faith, and gratitude,
Iris
