On November 29, 2025, Ireya Thomas—President of Arizona's 2025 rising team of the year, the Southwest Steppaz—was struck by a vehicle while riding her beloved horse, Allie, in Laveen, Arizona. Ireya is now in the hospital, bravely fighting through serious injuries. Tragically, Allie, who was more than just a horse but a true partner and source of peace and joy, did not survive the accident. The loss of Allie is a heartbreak that no one should have to endure, especially in such a sudden and devastating way.

Ireya is the heart of her family and her community, and she is now facing an incredibly difficult road to recovery. With six children depending on her, the challenges are immense. She is unable to work while she heals, and the family is struggling to cover daily living expenses, mounting medical bills, and the costs associated with Allie’s cremation.
