Kaitlyn and I are friends of Irene Castillo Bohannon. If you know Irene, she is one of the sweetest, kindest, most supportive, and funniest people. We all know Irene is strong, is a hardworking individual, takes care of her son, and does so much for the community, but we also know how difficult it can be for her to ask for help. Irene will do anything she can to help out a friend or family member in need, and we are here to reach out to each of you because Irene is going to need some help in the months ahead.

Last week, Irene was diagnosed with Grade 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Fortunately, she caught it early, but the path ahead could be a long one filled with a lot of treatment, surgery, and still many unknowns. Part of Irene's treatment is not in-network, and she will also be faced with taking substantial time off work to attend to her treatment schedule and recovery. Our hope is that we help lessen the burden of financial obligations during this time for Irene so she can focus on her health and treatment.
