Hi, my name is Jodi, and I’m raising funds for my sister, Irena.

Here’s a message from Irena herself:

“Two weeks ago, I woke up in the middle of the night with terrible stomach pain, thinking my appendix was about to burst. The next morning, I followed up with my doctor, who recommended that I come in. After examining me, he couldn’t determine the cause of the pain and sent me for a CT scan.

When the results came back, my doctor called with concerning news — he advised me to see a specialist right away. After consulting with the specialist, it was determined that I need surgery to remove an ovarian mass. A biopsy will also be performed during the procedure.

I will be out of work for at least three weeks, or until cleared by my physician. Life sometimes throws unexpected curveballs, but I am determined to get through this with strength and faith — and with the help of your donations, which would mean so much to me. Thank you.”

Irena’s surgery is scheduled for May 7th.

We’re asking for support to help cover her medical expenses and the three weeks of unpaid time she’ll need to focus on healing.
