Support Innocent and Khangongo’s dreams

COVID-19 has impacted among others school going children as well as the “under qualified” all over the world but these impacts levy heavily on an African child.
Innocent 19, and Khangongo 30yrs old(and mother of two) are a case in example. With the closure of schools and the loss of jobs due to a heavy lockdown in Uganda for the past 6months, I started a little personal project to support whoever I can to learn new skills and hopefully venture into self employment.  I managed to enroll both Innocent and Khangongo into a short term (2months) fashion and tailoring course. Khangongo who started first & is almost finished her 2month course with Inno continuing. As a student myself, I however can’t raise enough money to purchase for them sewing machines and materials for startup thus the purpose of this campaign. ( the machines would also help them practice from home what they learn at the school). 

I do not have an exact invoice of the actual cost of each machine but through online sources and depending on the type, sewing machines in Uganda could  range between 300€ Onward. 

I believe in the power of collectiveness and that life should not be walked alone soby donating even 5€, you will be helping Innocent or Khangongo start/continue their journey to also being a change in theircommunities through whatever they’ll make with tailoring skills.

NB: Innocent is supposed to be joining university whenever lockdown is over, shehopes to venture further into the tailoring business to support herself financially throughout university and beyond

Khangongo has shown a lot of committment into learning out of her comfort zone considering she had last been in a classroom years back, she wants to hopefully enroll in a fashion school and have a career in fashion and tailoring. She needs employment to support her children and family.
