Support Inner Strength's Recovery Efforts

When a relentless rain storm hit Pittsburgh on April 11th it brought more than 4” in less than 24 hours and more than 11 inches in a 3 day span.

It was so bad that watercraft was used for emergency evacuation in the western parts of Pittsburgh.

Unfortunately this storm flooded out one local small business that does more for the community than many others its size.

Inner Strength Personal Training in Robinson on Hershinger Rd. has been helping our local communities lose weight, gain strength and improve their overall health, as well as help our young athletes improve their performance and gain confidence on and off the field since 2014.

In those 10 years this little 6 person operation raised more than $7,000.00 for the Women’s Center and Shelter of Pittsburgh, more than $3,500.00 for one of their members who lost their daughter to Cystic Fibrosis among other philanthropic efforts for organizations fighting childhood hunger, giving kids great christmases and fighting against breast cancer. They also are a direct sponsor of an Organization Called the Inspired Women’s Network, who raises thousands quarterly for local non-profits.

For our youth sports, they’ve donated thousands of dollars to rec leagues and travel teams.

Their owner Ryan Wade, volunteers hundreds of hours a year into North Fayette Baseball and West Allegheny Wrestling at the youth level.

At every turn, and as much as they can, they support our community.

So this campaign’s goal is to help fund their recovery and help them keep helping us.

Inner Strength had between 6+ inches of standing water in their facility, completely ruining their turf flooring, rubber flooring and shock resistant subfloor along with other gym and office equipment totaling greater than $30,000.00 in damages.

Since the flood, the team at Inner Strength swiftly moved all their equipment to a temporary facility to allow their gym members to continue their workouts. Even at their lowest, they’re still putting others first.

Please help this amazingly unselfish business get back up and running by donating whatever you can toward helping them re-outfit their facility so they can continue positively impacting the lives of our community members for years to come!

PS: I reached out to the owner, Ryan and he wanted to make sure I added how grateful he is for everyone's kindness, support and patience during this very difficult time.
