Hey everyone,

I never thought my family and I would be put in this position, but today I’m here to ask for your help, support, and prayers for my beautiful and sweet mother, Ingrid.

My mom was recently diagnosed with colon cancer, having a malignant tumor obstructing her intestine. Although thankfully it was an early diagnosis, she had to undergo a major surgery, and now chemotherapy for the next 6 months, for starters. Unfortunately, the cancer was already on stage 3C, meaning she could have to undergo treatment for longer than that. But we have faith that she won’t!

My parents work extremely hard on their own cleaning business, but at this moment, my mom’s first priority is her health, which by medical advice will have her stepping out of work for the 6 months of treatment, additional to the time she was already out pre and post surgery. Due to chemo, her immune system is extremely weak, so she cannot be exposed to any infections or chances of getting sick. We’re doing absolutely everything we can to support my mother in every shape or form, but financially is where we are and will be struggling the most during this difficult time, trying to pay for bills, work replacements, medical expenses, etc...

My mom has been dealing with all of this in the most beautiful and strong way possible, full of strength, power, determination, and positivity, believing that everything will be okay and that God has purpose in every situation no matter how difficult things may seem. She’s empathetic, loves flowers and the outdoors, sees beauty in the simplest things, and is the strongest and most caring person I’ve ever had the chance to meet.

I can’t put into words how devastating and numbing this has been to us, but we will continue to smile every single day at the blessings we have before us and be grateful for the opportunity to see another day.
