Support Indy’s Emergency Hospital Care

My best friend needs help. Indiana has been a part of my family for 13 years and has been with me through all the ups and downs, breakups, heart aches, and cross-country moves. He is truly a one of a kind cat, and has been the best companion I could have ever asked for. My soulmate in cat form. If you know me at all, chances are you have heard me speak lovingly of Indy. On Monday, I noticed he wasn’t acting normal and started to deteriorate quickly. The vet told me that he is experiencing symptoms from kidney disease, which there is no cure for. I took him to the emergency vet for observation and to provide fluids and see what can be done. As you can imagine, a stay at the emergency vet is not cheap and although it is a burden I accepted without hesitation, I have decided to reach out to my community to ask for help. Indy means the world to me and I would do anything for him. I can’t imagine my life without him, he’s saved my life and I’m doing everything I can to save his. I know he isn’t immortal and I want to do what is best for him. If you’ve read this far and want to help, it would mean so much to my family and Indy. He’s a fighter, and I’m praying he pulls through. If anything, please keep Indy in your thoughts, he’s trying his best but he’s not feeling well at all and it breaks my heart to see him in so much pain.

The way Indy came into my life will always make me smile. I was a senior in high school, I brought him home as a kitten, and I didn’t tell my parents I was keeping him. They were against it at first, but Indy has a way of making you fall in love with him. Both my mom and my dad soon gave in and have loved him just as much as I have over the years. I am so grateful he chose me.
