We are appealing to our colleagues for financial contributions to support urgent relief efforts following devastating flash floods and mudslides in Sumatra Island, Indonesia, lead by our partners in Indonesia.

In late November, intense rainfall triggered sudden flooding that have displaced over 1 million people and caused widespread damage to homes, health facilities, and essential infrastructure. Many families are now facing shortages of clean water, food, shelter, and access to basic medical care. The most recent death toll has surpassed 900 with some still missing.

All funds raised will be transferred directly to the Indonesian Association of Family Medicine – Aceh Branch, who are coordinating trusted, on-the-ground relief efforts. Donations will support emergency medical care, essential supplies, and community health support for affected populations.
