Support Indie’s Medical Costs
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page to help with Indie’s Medical Costs. Last month Indie, who is 5 years old, suddenly developed a large mass on her snout, which required emergency surgery to remove. The mass was found to be cancerous through excisional biopsy. Follow-up surgery is required, along with an ongoing innovative canine melanoma vaccine called ONCEPT.
We still do not know what stage her cancer is in but the Veterinarian specialists are hopeful it has not metastasized to her mouth or rest of her body. The melanoma vaccines for melanoma are used to support surgery and/or radiation therapy and prolong survival time.
At this point we’ve already spent thousands on appointments, medications, surgery, blood work, and X-rays and decided to post this as a last resort for help with upcoming costs. She is scheduled for her second surgery in early November. The vaccination alone is $1000-$1700 per treatment, with a recommendation of 4-6 within her treatment plan. Fingers crossed all of this helps our Indie girl live a long and happy life. We thank you for taking a few moments to read this and hope you can send some positivity Indie’s direction. Any support you provide will be directed to Dr. Boyd’s Veterinarian clinic and the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego.
Indie loves you all
