Aloha mai kākou and mabuhay!
My name is India Kawelolani Calso Ching, and I am honored to serve and represent my community as Miss Oʻahu Filipina 2025 through my platforms in Food Security and Performing Arts. On June 21st, I competed in the 50th Miss Oʻahu Filipina Scholarship Pageant and won! I scored the highest in all four main categories: (1) Pre-pageant interview, (2) Swimsuit, (3) Talent, and (4) Terno/Speech/On-stage Q&A. I also won the Photogenic Award! I am so proud to be a part of this rich history and legacy. In August, I will be competing in the state pageant, Miss Hawaiʻi Filipina 2025, which will be taking place in Kauaʻi. The last year Oʻahu brought the crown home was in 2013. This year, I want to bring the crown home.
I would not be here today if it weren't for all those who have supported me throughout my journey. This fundraiser will allow me to cover the costs associated with a hair and makeup artist, outfits for competition, appearance outfits, travel, and much more.
Cost (over)estimates (current as of 7/9/25):
Registration fee $3000
Chaperone fee $3800 (not mandatory)
Lodging $2000
Flight round-trip $200
Rental car $700
Meals for a week in Kauaʻi $300
Terno/Evening Gown $1000
Interview outfit $150
Talent outfit/props $100
Hair & Makeup Artist $1200
Appearance outfits $500
and other miscellaneous costs
Any extra monies raised but not used by me will be donated to the Oʻahu Filipino Community Council. Every dollar helps!
