Hey Everyone,

My name is Donovan Dyer and if you’ve been following me on socials you will know that I’m competing in the Kent Models MX-5 Championship with Bromley Motorsport. It’s my first full season as a driver and I am in the running for a top spot in the rookie class of the championship.

I am fully self funded and work 3 jobs to be able to chase my dream! Every turn of the wheel, every checkered flag, and every setback is powered by pure passion and the incredible support of fans like you.

Everything was going to plan until the last race weekend at Oulton Park. With trackside temperatures skyrocketing up to 38 degrees Celsius (+100 degrees Fahrenheit) and over 40 degrees Celsius in the car, we literally blew a gasket. After diagnostics and taking the engine apart we need to rebuild the whole engine.

As a self-funded driver, every entry fee, replacement part, tire and repair comes out of my own pocket, and I’ve stretched my resources to the limit just to get this far.

So here I am, I’m launching this GoFundMe to raise £5,000 and I need the help of my village to complete the season.

Motorsport is expensive, but I know from experience that a lot of little contributions can make a huge difference. If 500 people each gave just £10, I’d be able to complete the season and continue chasing my dream.
