Support Our Truth — A Queer Short Film About Love, Loss, and What’s Left Unsaid
"After the sudden loss of her best friend and secret lover, a grieving young woman confronts memories and unspoken truths that blur the line between love and loss, reality and illusion."
Our Truth is a short film that explores the messy, intimate aftermath of queer love cut short. Through raw flashbacks and emotional unraveling, it captures the weight of unspoken feelings, identity, grief, addiction, and the way memory haunts the present.
Written by Nicole Rivera, a queer Latina NYU Tisch graduate, and directed by Cara Ronzetti, creator of the film Lasciare (Russo Brothers Italian American Filmmaker Forum 2024 grant recipient). Our Truth is a project by emerging queer artists committed to telling authentic stories.
The team is currently raising at least $1,000 to cover pre and post production costs. Every contribution helps make space for stories that reflect the emotional complexity of queer relationships, and the sudden grief of losing someone you thought would always be there. Please consider donating or sharing to support independent filmmaking and new queer voices!!
