We are raising funds to honor the life of Taylor “Maid” Hamilton, a bright and loving 16-year-old whose life was tragically taken by gun violence. Taylor’s energy, sense of humor, and kindness touched everyone who knew her, and her loss has left a deep pain in the hearts of her family and community. Taylor’s grandmother, Hloniphile Nyide attended Spelman College from 1988–2001 and has strong ties to Atlanta. She is currently in South Africa mourning the loss of her granddaughter unable to travel back before the funeral due to travel restrictions , 8,000 miles away from her daughter,Nandi Hamilton (Taylor’s mother) . Taylor’s mother is now navigating unimaginable grief while also facing the unexpected financial responsibilities of arranging her daughter’s burial. We are asking for support to help provide Taylor with a dignified and heartfelt farewell. Funds will assist with:

 • Casket and burial programs 

• Burial service costs 

• Mausoleum 

• Hearse and transportation 

• Makeup and clothing

 • Food and catering for the repast
