In Tandem Theatre was co-founded in 1998 by Chris and Jane Flieller in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After 21 seasons, the Fliellers moved an hour north to Fond du Lac. Now settled in, they have re-established In Tandem and are producing shows once or twice a year.

Coming next is the inaugural summer of Shakespeare in the Prairie, a three day festival featuring an indoor/outdoor performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. Free and open to the public!!

In Tandem Theatre is a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization and we need your help to bring this festival and show to life! For every dollar raised, a generous benefactor has agreed to match up to $5,000!!

Your support allows us to present Fond du Lac's first ever outdoor Shakespeare play. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 31-August 2, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm, guests will enjoy food trucks, ice cream and popcorn. They can shop at a variety of vendor booths. A Shakespearean Insult Booth and Selfie-Station will be available as well as games, roaming musicians and workshops.

The show begins at 7pm: Act I will be held in the beautiful prairie, along the pond and bridge of the former UW-Oshkosh/Fond du Lac campus and now home to the Prairie Theater and Event Center. Act II welcomes everyone inside (away from the bugs!) for the finale of this most beloved classic comedy.
