It’s been a really difficult winter.

I’m a second year at UC Davis, and this year’s winter quarter has consisted of the worst 10 weeks of my life.

A lot of things happened that required a lot of money to deal with, and it hasn’t left much for things like rent and tuition, which my family has been paying for out of pocket despite making maybe ~$25k a year. The stress from it all has landed me in the ER, and I’m still recovering from the heightened anxiety it’s been giving me. Additionally, my housemates have left due to extremely unfortunate circumstances, and have left the entire rent and utilities (~$2700) to be covered by only me and my roommate. I’ve already tried for the past two months to find roommate replacements on every site imaginable, but no one seems to be looking for housing at the moment, so it’s been difficult.

I’m already a full-time student working part time to try to make enough money to cover the bills, and my roommate is currently working two jobs in an attempt to do the same.

Asking for help has been really hard despite having amazing support systems through my friends and family, so even posting this fundraiser took a lot of debating- hence why this is anonymous. The listed goal is very large but anything at all helps.

These funds will be used to either pay the lease break and find more affordable housing or pay the remainder of rent for the lease, pay for tuition, pay for gas & groceries, car repairs, and more.
