Support in Memory of Sweet Nicholas

Nicholas was born with CDLS (Cornelia de Lange Syndrome).

At the time, he was the second case in Illinois. They said he wasn't going to live past birth, and then four months, then at three years. But my cuddle bug said, 'Watch me!' He beat all odds by walking and running.

Nicholas lived to be 12 years old, just a month away from being 13. Although Nicholas couldn't talk or eat like a typical child, my baby definitely had his ways of showing us what he needed, or he would occasionally steal Doritos from us.

Nicky loved to dance to anything from house music to cumbia, to stomping his feet to rock. Nicky was down for any adventure. He was such a sweetheart, loved his hugs. Nothing stopped Nicky from living life to his fullest potential. Although he left us early, we have comfort in knowing he lived life beautifully with lots of love and happiness. Heaven gained a sweet angel and I hope we meet again one day.
