On August 23, 2025, Caroline's son Mark Santiago aged 23, was tragically murdered. There has been many news report in the recent days to follow up on the case. The fundraiser was started by a friend Borna to support cover the cost of the funeral and services, and will be directly transferred to Caroline who is the beneficiary of this fundraiser after the completion deadline.
