Tyler Wray Coleman, 36, of Forest, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 at his home. He was born on April 5, 1988 in Fairfax, Virginia, son of David Wray Coleman and Cynthia Darlene Vandevander. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Wray Coleman known to Tyler as Papa Wray.
Tyler worked for FCS Solutions where he made many meaningful friendships, especially, Ken Howell, Jr. He was an avid fan of UVA sports, the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Orioles. He was known for his competitive spirit and his loving and caring nature. He approached life with passion and kindness, touching the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, David and Darlene; brothers, Stormy Love Coleman, Jeremy Michael Vandevander and his lifelong friend and brother, Jake Abbitt Scott; a sister, Tiffany Lei Coffey; a second father, Buck Scott and second mother, Chryl Usser; the love of his life and best friend, Tiffany Driver and his four legged companion, Rex as well as many friends including those at Virginia Intermont College, the Brookville and UVA Communities.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to support the family as they navigate this next chapter and close the door on any prior financial obligations.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
