Impact Youth are heading to KYCK and we need your help!
The Katoomba Youth Christian Convention (KYCK) is an annual event which brings youth from all over Australia together to fellowship, worship, and hear talks and testimonies. This event has been impactful in the lives of hundreds of youth across Australia and has played a large role in the faith our own youth as well.
As a youth group, we look forward to attending this event every year and it is our joy to see our group grow larger each time as more youth are keen to be a part of what God has in store for us at KYCK!
This year Impact Youth group need your help in raising funds to go towards:
- Hiring vans for transport
- Food for the event
- Help with ticket costs so that all who want to attend are able to
Through a Trivia Night which Impact Youth will be hosting in late March and this GoFundMe page, our goal is to raise $3000.
If we can reach $1,500 through this page, then the leaders of Impact Youth have all agreed to complete a different challenge each.
Let's meet the team...
Tegan is our newest team member but it didn't take long for her to fit right in with our youth community. She loves the colour yellow, dancing in the rain and has agreed to ride her bike 100km in one day as part of this challenge!
Jonah has been a part of our youth group since the very beginning, he brings the laughs and the crazy and we wouldn't have it any other way. He has agreed to do a surprise performance at our Trivia Night event...what will he do exactly? I guess we will just have to wait and see!
Joe brings the energy to youth group and could probably run circles around us all. He loves to pull pranks, get involved in all our crazy games and activities and convince the youth that it's a good idea to do push-ups when you lose at a game. I guess it's no surprise then that Joe has agreed to complete 1000 push-ups in one day for his challenge.
Sarah is another long-time youth leader. She is well-known for running some of our greatest nights at youth group and is always bringing her much loved creativity into our youth community. She will be letting the youth pick out a costume that she will then wear for a full day in public. Can't wait to see what the youth pick out!
Sharnay began this youth group four years ago and it has been her greatest joy to see how this community has grown in numbers but most importantly in friendship and faith with one another! As part of this challenge, she will be dyeing her hair a colour chosen by the youth.
So, please donate to help get us to KYCK 2026! We realise that it wouldn't be possible without your support and so we want to say thank you to you all! And of course, each donation is a step closer to the youth being able to see their leaders participate in these awesome (and maybe a little crazy) challenges!
Blessings
