Support immigrant Freelance Artists on sets

Hi! Nice to digitally meet you! I hope you are being safe during this crisis.  

First of all, thank you so much for taking your time here! 

Grrr This is very hard for me! It took me good 4 days to post this after making the page!

Anyways....

My name is Yuui. People call me Yuui Vision at work. I do makeup artistry for living in New York as a freelance artist.  This funding will raise money for freelance immigrant artists who have the status of  O1 visas, as known as Artist visa. We are not citizens but we are legally allowed to work in the U.S. 

Which means, we pay income tax.  As a freelancer, we pay A LOT of income tax!!! *hyperventilating*

So, be able to receive an unemployment benefit should be NO question for us O1 visa holders. Right?  However, there is a possible risk of losing our status in the U.S.  if we did! For more information, please click this link .  

Needless to say, it's not that we do not want to work... they don't allow us to shine....  we can't show our skills in this crisis.... we need humans in front of us to WORK! And, we work TOGETHER. It's always a team effort to do our job! 

On top of the above issue, our standard payment takes around 30-90 days when we get to work in our industries!!! I KNOW! If we did not eat for 30-90 days.... we most likely be saying hi from 6 feet under... 

On top of the 2 above issues, when the world opens up, ready for us to work... we O1 visa holders are NOT allowed to work doing other things but only allowed to work in our industries using our special skills. Meaning, I can't go to work at a bar and gather some cash until the economy is stabilized! NOPE! 

Lastly but not least, the biggest reason why I wanted to do this funding is to support the artist's mental health.  Needless to say, the need to make ends meet during this crazy time is taking a toll on us. I know it is a crazy time for all of us, but if you could help, I much appreciate it!!! *deepest bow*

The immediate goal here is to help at least 10 artists to receive $1000 each. This donation will help us pay our rent, utilities, and buy our food... to sustain our LIVES! 

When you donate, the money will be divided amongst immigrant artists working on sets for fashion, film, and commercial industries, such as photographers, hairstylists, makeup artists, wardrobe stylists, set designers, DP,  etc.  

My apologies that this fundraising is going to benefit only limited people. I want to help more but I am not a fairy godmother to some of you yet... please forgive me... 

I am hopeful that this action will be a starting point to help more artists soon.  *fairly dust sparkling*
