Support Iman's Journey to Safety

My name is Moe, and I’m reaching out for your help to support the most important person in my life—my mother, Iman.

My mother is a superhero. She raised me on her own while we lived with my grandparents, dedicating her life to supporting our family. Despite financial struggles, she always found a way to make things work. However, like many middle-class families in Lebanon, our situation worsened drastically due to the ongoing economic collapse.

At 63 years old, my mother still works as a saleswoman in a shop in Beirut. Her salary covers the basics. Three years ago, I left Lebanon on a scholarship to Germany, and while I’m starting to build my career here, I am not yet able to fully support both myself and her.

Given the current war in Lebanon, my mother faces rising risks as she navigates daily life in Beirut on her own. Access to basic necessities like food, electricity, and healthcare has become unreliable, and the situation continues to worsen. It has become urgent for her to leave the country before the challenges escalate further.

I am raising funds to help my mother leave Beirut and relocate temporarily to Cairo, Egypt. This will give her a safer place to stay while I work on bringing her to Germany with me through the legal process.
