A Little Help for Imani’s Waldorf Journey

Hello aunties, uncles, and dear friends,

I wanted to share a little update and ask for some support as I navigate this next chapter for Imani and myself.

Here is the good news.

As many of you know, Imani started Waldorf this year, after years of homeschooling, and the transition has been even better than I hoped! She’s thriving socially, emotionally, and academically, and it’s been such a gift to watch her come alive in this kind, creative, and nurturing environment.

Waldorf education is truly special, as it focuses on the whole child: heart, hands, and mind. This gentle, hands-on approach has made a profound difference for Imani, who has struggled to be away from home due to sensory processing differences and high anxiety. Waldorf has given her the space to learn and grow in ways that feel natural and supportive for her.

Here is the struggle.

After my recent divorce, I’ve found myself solely responsible for her tuition, something I hadn’t anticipated. While I’m doing everything I can to make it work, I have found myself needing support to make it through this time of significant life changes for us both.

Currently, I’m finishing my master’s in nutrition and launching my nonprofit, Nourish First, which will offer sliding-scale nutrition counseling and promote food sovereignty, helping families and communities access, grow, and prepare nourishing foods sustainably. I am committed to making this vision a reality; however, securing funding is a lengthy process, and my income is limited in the interim.

I know times are hard for so many people right now, and I truly don’t take it lightly to ask for help. Please know that any funds contributed will go directly toward Imani’s tuition only. Every bit helps, and even the smallest gesture means so much.
