Hello everyone, my name is Imani and I’m trying to get help for my mom during this unfortunate, unexpected situation that has taken a huge toll on my sister, brothers, and myself. My mom was diagnosed with stage three cervical cancer in January, which caused her to be taken out of work due to chemo, radiation, and hospital visits. Things seemed to be going fine up until about week three, where she’s been having chronic blood loss and has been in and out of the hospital ever since. At first, the doctors could not figure out what was causing the blood loss. Her current lease is up in April, and her landlord is not willing to renew the lease because she is not working. Although she is on FMLA at work, she cannot collect short-term disability through them until June. I'm just asking for help to cover rent and/or moving expenses as well as other expenses during this time. That way, she and my brother and sister are not without a home for her to receive proper treatment.
