Support Imam Nick After His Accident

Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
We come to you today with an urgent and heartfelt request on behalf of our dear brother, Imam Nick.
Many of you know Imam Nick from his time serving the community at the Islamic Center of Irving. He has always stood firm for justice and truth — even when it came at great personal cost. His commitment to protecting our children and speaking out against abuse led to his dismissal from his position, but he never wavered in doing what was right.
Since then, Imam Nick has been supporting himself through Uber driving — working long hours just to make ends meet. Despite his trials, he remained steadfast in faith and service.
But now, he needs our help.
During the last 10 days of Ramadan, while many of us were seeking Laylatul Qadr in worship and peace, Imam Nick was hospitalized. And on the very last day of Ramadan, while still recovering, he was involved in a devastating car accident on I-84 in Hartford. An uninsured driver hit him at high speed, sending his car careening into multiple lanes of traffic. Four vehicles were involved, and three people — including Imam Nick — were hospitalized.
Alhamdulillah, by Allah’s mercy, his injuries were minor. But his vehicle — his only source of income — was completely totaled.
The insurance settlement was not enough to cover the cost of a replacement vehicle. Without a car, Imam Nick has no way to work, and no means to support himself.
This is a brother who once served the community with heart and courage. Now, he needs the community to stand by him.
Please donate whatever you can to help Imam Nick get back on his feet.
Your support will help him purchase a reliable vehicle so he can work and regain stability. Let’s not allow a brave brother who stood up for our children be left without support in his time of need.
Even a small contribution can make a big difference. And if you can’t give, please share this with others who might be able to help.
“Whoever relieves a believer’s hardship, Allah will relieve one of his hardships on the Day of Judgment.” – Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
May Allah reward you for your generosity, and may He protect and uplift Imam Nick and all those who stand for truth.
