Imam Jihad Muhammad is a native Houstonian, loving father of 4 and husband. He is the resident Imam of The 5th Ward Islamic Center for Human Development. He is a student of Imam W. Deen Muhammad. A community advocate with a passion for making lives better for those most in need. From the many initiatives at 5th Ward Islamic Center a community focused Masjid dedicated to combat hunger, re-entry and rehabilitation. Partnering with local Masjids to take difficult issues.

Imam Jihad initially sustained a pulled muscle that rendered him unable to move. After being rushed to the hospital it was revealed that the injury was worse than believed to be. An infection had not only exacerbated the original issue but both had revealed other underlying health issues. Which he was blessed to catch in time. Allah being indeed gracious. After a long tenuous few weeks at the hospital, where he also had to fight off covid, his condition improved enough for him to be released.

We are asking for your support for Imam Jihad Muhammad to aid in his recovery and day to day needs and expenses. He is unable to work at this time and has ongoing medical expenses. Thank you to the community for all the concern and hospital visits. The Prophet SAW said "The Imam is a shield for you". Insha Allah let us come together as a community and aid one of our shields, until he restored in his proper place.
