Support Ilaria's recovery from Brain Tumor and Stroke

My name is Isaac Orloff, I am writing on behalf of my 4 year old niece Ilaria Orloff and her parents Elias and Kayla Orloff. In 2022, Ilaria experienced recurring seizures which would not respond to medication only to discover that she had a tumor in her brain. At only 1 year old baby Ilaria underwent surgery to remove the tumor from her brain. She recovered completely and until now has been a bubbly little girl who loves dance class, swimming, and running around outside with friends! Unfortunately a tumor recurrence was found during a routine MRI in may 2025. Surgery for a routine removal was scheduled for July 2025. Unfortunately during the operation there were severe complications due to the location of the tumor causing them to be unable to remove the tumor. While the surgery was taking place, Ilaria suffered a major stroke resulting in severe mobility and sensory limitations.

Ilaria now faces two major hurdles in front of her. In the immediate future she will be fighting to regain her mobility and sensory function with rigorous physical therapy and treatment. There will be another hurdle as a new course of treatment will be needed to manage or deal with the tumor that was unable to be removed in her brain.

Ilaria is an incredibly kind and outgoing child who means the world to our family. She deserves every bit of support that we can give her, as do her parents who are two of the most genuine hard working people I have ever met. Elias and Kayla are incredibly dedicated parents and will be providing round the clock care and support for Ilaria while also navigating a pregnancy and all the challenges that come with having a new baby. With our support, we can help their little family provide the support and care that Ilaria needs, while also providing resources for their parents to bring a new baby into the world at this incredibly challenging time.
