Help Ike Baer-Sanft's Battle Against Cancer

Ike Baer-Sanft is a college student and musician who is fighting cancer of the head and neck, for the second time.

March 2023 brought about an unfathomable change to the life of Ike Baer-Sanft, and his family. While studying at Berklee College of Music, Ike was diagnosed with mouth cancer. The diagnosis was slow coming as he did not fit the profile for such a thing and it was a shock to all when he was diagnosed. His parents, who live in New York, dropped everything to be with him in Boston where he was living and receiving care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Ike had to undergo a drastic tongue surgery to save his life and he endured an aggressive regimen of chemo and radiation afterwards. There was no guarantee of how Ike would sound after the surgery. To the amazement of his doctors, Ike made it through more successfully than ever imagined - with his voice, speech, and singing ability amazingly intact!! Everyone has been in total awe of Ike and his perseverance, attitude, and determination. We all hoped the nightmare was over when Ike went back for the next semester at Berklee.

Tragically, his first follow up PET scan showed that the cancer had spread and Ike would have to undergo more treatments. Suffice it to say that now - over a year later - Ike has undergone numerous treatments which have not proven to stop the cancer. He is currently undergoing chemo and an immunotherapy treatment. We are all VERY hopeful that this will be the one that works!

Ike had to withdraw from school in his senior year/final semester and is planning to return in Fall 2024 to earn his degree and complete his album. The financial burden brought about by everything has taken a massive toll. Family and friends have been instrumental in raising funds towards the rent needed for Ike to stay in Boston, both to receive medical care and complete his studies. Now, we are raising funds for Ike Baer-Sanft, which will go directly to relieve Ike's medical and school expenses, as well as any other costs he and his family may encounter.
