I am a 2020 graduate who furthered my education with McKendree College on a football scholarship. Due to a family emergency after completing my first year, I chose to go home. I attended community college for two years, while working with an airline. The classroom setting was not working for me and took a year and a half off to regroup, in search of my true purpose.
This year in February, I moved to the Carolina's to step out on faith and pursue a dream of becoming a pilot. March 12th, 2024, I started with Victory Lane Aviation unfinanced. Currently have 31 flight hours as well as countless hours I have dedicated to aviation. In July, American Airlines opened slots for their pilot program, which I applied immediately. I was selected for an interview and within two weeks, I received an email stating I had been selected out of thousands to go to their flight school program.
I am to report to the West Coast during the first week of October. With this program, I am not allowed to hold employment or leave the state, as in a year, I will have a big responsibility of holding so many lives in my hands daily.
I am responsible for my housing, living expenses, and all that comes with that and am rasing money for that. The school itself is 100k, and any additional funds would help with offsetting my school loan.
Unfortunately, I did not secure any scholarship funds. So any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your love and support. Please keep me in prayer. MAYBE ONE DAY IT MIGHT JUST BE ME FLYING YOU THROUGH THE FRIENDLY SKIES!
