John graduated from University of Oklahoma in 1976. Ken did graduate work after he earned a degree from Northeastern State University but they never met: were at events but never knew each other!

Ken’s bio is long and complicated: early AIDS work with ACT UP through recently. His business on Cherry Street was the ONLY gay business that flew a huge gay flag out front. At events, people used to walk in and inquire and later come out!! Was great times!

Ken, at the time a Tulsa Oklahomans for Human Rights board member, was in charge of the Chastity Bono fundraiser for Nancy McDonald at Doubletree Downtown. Ken pulled Chastity out of the women’s bathroom with cocaine all over her face. Had paid the bitch $20,000!! Oh well.

Ken has done fundraising for Congregation B’nai Emunah, Temple Israel, and Holy Family for years and years. Kinda spiritual payback!! Was known as “the Jewish florist.”

John is a renowned oil artist with many pieces of art to his name and was also a singer in the Council Oak Men's Chorale.

He worked at Saint Francis South in surgery. He loved helping people.

We both retired during COVID.

We’ve been ill in the last three years. Our nest egg has been sucked away.

John: five knee surgeries.

$565,000 in hospital bills since January through June. Insurance paid some but it's been grim!
