Hi, friends! My name is Kristen, and I’m in Tennessee, and I’m helping to raise funds for my friend Ibrahem and his wife and children in Palestine. They have been through unimaginable hardship and hunger over the last years, and they need our help to survive. If you can’t afford to donate, please share this fundraiser with other people you know, and if you can afford even a small amount, every little bit truly does help. Thank you!

This is the story of Ibraham's family:

To my dear friends and kind-hearted
people...

My name is Ibrahim Al-Kafarna, I am 30 years old, from Gaza. I completed my education and hold a bachelor's degree in Health Administration. I am married and have two children: a son named Hassan, who is two and a half years old, and a daughter named Nada, who is one year old. My children are in dire need of care and attention. They need clothes, milk, and diapers. Every day is a continuous nightmare; the war here seems like it will never end. Every day, it steals our lives, our possessions, and our hope.

I used to live peacefully with my family of 10: my parents, my mother, my father, my married brother and his four children, and myself as their provider.

I lived safely in our beautiful home. My dream was for my children to grow up in my beautiful home. But the occupation completely destroyed it in the first days of the war, destroying our lives and our dreams. We have been displaced more than 10 times since the beginning of October 7th. We left everything behind, taking only a few of our clothes. Not only that, but we are deprived of the most basic necessities. I am responsible for all my family members.

We now live in a tattered tent. I used to have a beautiful house and a monthly income that provided for all my needs. The occupation completely destroyed them. My brother, like me, is unable to provide for himself. Now my family and I live in a dilapidated tent that offers no protection from the summer heat or the winter cold. We have no shelter, no food, and no water. Everything is unavailable. There is no work to secure even our most basic daily needs for food and water, and our health and physical condition have deteriorated. Our lives are in immeasurable danger, facing multiple threats: hunger, thirst, violence, bombing, and death. We struggle for survival.

The Israeli occupation has imposed a suffocating siege on us. There is no compassion or mercy. The crossings are closed. We are going through a crisis, experiencing extremely difficult and dire times. The famine is relentless. There is no consistent food, no water, and no medicine. There are days when we have nothing to eat or drink, and my wife, children, and I go to bed hungry. We have nowhere safe to live. Please look upon us with compassion and mercy.

We hope this nightmare will end and that we will be saved. I long to leave Gaza and live in safety one day, with my children, and for my children to live like yours, in peace, security, and dignity. But the situation is getting worse. We have lost so many lives—73,000—and more than 100,000 have been wounded. The number is constantly rising, and the situation is truly tragic.

I appeal to all people of humanity and compassion who understand the value of life. Words cannot describe the suffering we are enduring in Gaza. Our pain is immense and indescribable. Please, if you can, help now. Your support will help us survive and will make the difference between life and death. I desperately need your donations to provide for my children and family. I hope you will help me and my family rebuild the part of our lives that has been destroyed.

Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and humanity.
