My name is Ibraheem Fayez Lubbad, I’m a journalist from Gaza and this is my reality.

For the last 210 days, my family and I have showed our resilience in surviving under detrimental conditions. Due to the ongoing bombings, many homes, lives and possessions have

been destroyed and unfortunately, my family and I were amongst those affected. Our beautiful home in Deir Al Balah, our symbol of warmth, sanctity and community along with our possessions was destroyed, leaving us only with the clothes on our bodies. This in turn forced us to become displaced under harsh circumstances where we had to resort to taking shelter in an unstable, unliveable tent with my wife Alya and my 4 kids, Layan (15), Mohamed (14), Fayez (13) and Bessan (10). Everyday, being here puts my young families lives at great risk. Recently, my daughter bessan (10) and I were injured during my coverage of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital when our tents were airstriked. Bessan (10) sustained injuries in her back and foot which landed her with 10 stitches. This lead her to severe hairloss and health deterioration. She needs medical treatment immediately. Due to the heat, life inside the tent has caused fear, great suffering and multiple deseases. My son Fayez (13) was infected with hepatitis and also requires immediate medical treatment. My wife Alya sustained facial burns and is also in need of immediate medical treatment. What you see on social media is what we're living through. We are not safe. It is a miracle that we are surviving. Basic necessities like food and water is scarce and has now become a luxury. My children have no access to education due to all our schools being bombed and destroyed. With a heavy heart, we are now appealing to the international community in a heartfelt plea for assistance as evacuation is no longer an option, but rather it is a necessity. For the sake of my family’s future, safety and health, please help us evacuate and rebuild our lives.

In order for my family and I to evacuate, unfortunately Egypt is charging exorbitant rates between $5000- $10 000 per Adult and $2500-$6000 per child. Your generous donations will make a difference in providing us with evacuation, basic necessities, security, education for my kids and rebuilding our lives again.
