Hello! Im Iara Gordon, it's a pleasure to virtually present myself. Today, I'm 19 years old, but for as long as I can recall my memories, better said, recall my passions, being a filmmaker is nothing shorter than my life dream. From making movies as a child with friends, to participating in every annual school play’s backstage crew. I began my journey in the industry in 2024, but always knew I belonged. I have a feeling, hard to explain, but I see myself accomplishing my dreams. I am here, not asking for anything other than helping me to make my younger self proud, and my older self recognize these moments to thank.
I am razing funds to be able to film my upcoming short film, called "Echoes of deceit". We are aiming to shoot during the month of march, 2026.
Donors... as a teenager, living alone, left with my faith in my hands, I ask for support in helping me skyrocket the opportunity I had to show the industry what I got.

Im 19 years old, and I was born in Thailand, but raised in Argentina. Art has always been a part of my life, and being a part of the industry would help me express my soul. I believe that the world should be spread with kindness, hard work, and growth. In this industry, I am given the chance to create stories out of thin air, present them in a beautiful picture, and do my part to humanity with messages that I feel are power-full, and work dedicating my life to.
Currently Im still taking my first steps in the industry, so I would like to mention some projects, and intentions I have incorporated into my films:
Im loyal to the fact that art if a form of expression, so i always find my way to incorporate history (events that helped change the world, like the "Great Depression" in my previous project "Rosemary East") Mental illness (like depression and suicidal thoughts, where I present them in subtext, as in my other short film "A sky full of stars"), and Art (like "Michelangelo, The Creation of Adam" also in "A sky full of stars". My goal is to present films tackling serious subjects, and reflecting outcomes to remind the ways of freedom. To me, freedom also comes in all shapes, colors and sizes.
Let me tell you about my story!
Logline: "4 highly intelligent gang members turn into 5 dead bodies, as a stone of youth changes hands in a deadly game of deception"
GENRE: Fantasy - Crime - Thriller
THEME: Greed and Corruption - Crime and Morality -Betrayal and Deception
stylish, moody, and fatalistic.
TONE: stylish, moody, and fatalistic.
The film feels like a slow, elegant descent into corruption. It blends the sharp edge of crime noir with the eerie shimmer of supernatural fantasy .
Synopsis: New York City, February. In a private dining room a seller and buyer negotiate the price of a magical stone with “youth” properties. In the same room, a waiter and a waitress begin the meticulous plan to rob the seller of the stone. They are allied with the chef in the kitchen who prepares food with poison, and a chemist that prepared the poison. They take the poisoned seller to the rural areas of New York. The waitress tricks all of her colleagues and kills them, taking the stone. But, she gets shot by the potential buyer, and she takes the stone all to herself.
SCENE 1: (Present time 12:00) We see two men in a private meeting room, with a large table and fancy furniture and table garnish. The seller and buyer. They are talking about a stone of youth, and through prices into the air. They laugh, drink and wait for their food. The seller intends to sell a piece of the stone to the buyer for her and her team to study and clone its properties.A waiter and waitress are standing in the room, They stand in each corner near the main entrance to the room. As the seller and buyer discuss numbers and money, the servers look at each other. This is when we hear the walky talky radio in the waiter's ear. The chef lets him know the food is almost ready to be fetched and served. “Almost ready”...The waiter formally exits the room, and heads toward the kitchen. He enters the kitchen and is given the plates by the chef. They exchange a weird look. The waiter returns to the dining room and with the help of the waitress they serve the guest (seller and buyer). The waitress re-fills the wine glass. The seller thanks the waitress, then looks at the wine, he suspects it. So he pushes the glass away discreetly. He grabs the spoon and begins to eat the soup he was served. A few minutes later, he begins to feel sick. The waiter pretends to be worried and escorts him out of the room, as the seller leaves in pain, he apologies as he can to the buyer, and leaves.
SCENE 2: (Back in time- 11:30) We are in the kitchen and the chef is preparing the plate of soup, he works for a while, then gets a radio signal in his headphone from someone that says "entering kitchen". The chef waits, and the scientist enters the kitchen and discreetly hands the chef a small flask. They nod at each other and the scientist leaves. The chef adds a drop of the liquid in the flask to the soup, then places a flower garnish in the soup with this poison. The chef sends a radio to the , “almost ready”, as he places the final touches to the dishes. The waiter walks in and takes the plates (we see their first interaction from the kitchens POV)
SCENE 3: Back in time (11:00) We are in a small lab, filled with chemicals and beakers. The scientist / lab chemist is cooking with the chemicals. We see the labels of the poisons and harmful substances. She experiments with them and after a while she fills a flask with the poison he created. She puts an apron and chef hat on and hides the flask, exits her lab, and walks toward the kitchen. She sends a radio signal to the chef saying “entering the kitchen”. She hands the chef the small flask. They nod and she leaves (chef and lab c. interaction from lab chemist POV)
SCENE 4:Present time (12:10) We see the soup left on the table. The waiter is almost carrying the seller across the room to exit. The waiter makes eye contact with the waitress, who is still standing in the corner. The waiter exits the building with the seller, Making sure he still had the necklace on him. The waiter re-assures him that the chauffeur would safely take him home. The seller gets into the car, almost unconscious. The car drives off. It's revealed that the diver is actually the scientist/lab chemist. She looks at the seller almost unconscious through the overhead mirror.
SCENE 5: (14:00) The car arrives at a destination that looks like the middle of nowhere. The lab chemist sends a radio call to the rest of the robbers telling them that she and the seller have arrived. The waiter and chef, radio back saying they are arriving right behind them. The waitress? They could not get a signal from her. The chef, scientist and waiter take the seller out of the car, as planned, then stand around him as he suffers to the ground, begging from some humanity. The chemist asks the waiter ‘where the fuck is the waitress?” BANG! BANG! BANG! Three shots are fired, killing the robbers The Waitress was waiting hidden in perfect camouflage. He approaches the crime scene, takes the necklace from the seller, then shoots him too.
FINALE: Instead of the buyer shooting the waitress, they fight. Videogame style camera movement. They walk over the crime scene. They start fighting being light by the headlight, as the waiter is defeated, they have moved to the back (red) light of the car. Only one comes out alive...
