My name is Ian, and I’m reaching out for help after a life-changing medical emergency. Not long ago, I developed an intestinal infection that quickly led to organ failure. In a matter of days, I found myself in the hospital facing an emergency liver transplant—a situation I never imagined I’d be in. The experience was overwhelming and has completely changed almost every aspect of my life.
Before my illness, I worked as a carpenter and spent my free time hunting, fishing, hiking, and shed hunting. But above all, my greatest sense of purpose has always come from my family and the time we share together. Now, after receiving my transplant, I’ve learned that I will most likely never be able to return to my career as a carpenter. The reality of not being able to work for at least a year is daunting, and the financial strain of medical bills and daily living expenses is more than I can manage alone.
I am incredibly thankful to my friends and family who have already helped me so much in my recovery. Even though my life has changed dramatically, I am deeply grateful for the chance to heal and eventually return to the outdoor activities I love. I’m asking for support to help me get through this challenging time. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to me as I adjust to this new chapter and focus on healing.
