Hi, my name is Ian Hylands. When I was 9 years old, I fell off my bike and broke one of my front teeth completely across the root. Through the efforts of my dentist, it survived, and against the odds, it lasted for 46 years. Last year, it started to become loose, and now my current dentist says it needs to be replaced as soon as possible to avoid any complications. I have an appointment scheduled immediately and I've borrowed $6000 to pay for it; however, I need to pay that money back.
I've had Lyme disease for 19 years, which has had huge out-of-pocket costs, and on top of that, my son has broken his collarbone twice in the past year. Those expenses have left me without any savings to pay for anything right now.
One of my biggest weaknesses is asking for help. I hate feeling like I need help from anyone, so I never ask. Even now, I would rather work extra jobs to pay for this; however, the reality of it is that I don't have much time or energy in my life for an extra job, and I need the money fairly quickly. I'm a photographer, and I'd rather work for my money than ask for donations. You can hire me or buy a print from me, but I understand that for many people it may be simplest to just donate a few dollars. If you do want to buy a print, you can find my work at https://www.ianhylands.photography/Prints/Prints or you can email me via GoFundMe or the Contact section of my website.
Thank you!
