Ian Hill is resident of Springdale and father to two young children. His children are his world. As a single father, Ian's life revolves around their wellbeing and their happiness.

Ian and his family have borne the personal, emotional, and financial costs of a public struggle that began when he spoke out about local government and law enforcement actions in his community.

As a result of that advocacy, Ian faced arrest, incarceration, and prosecution that disrupted every aspect of his life. He spent time in jail, lost income, and endured months of uncertainty while defending himself in court. Charges arising from a confrontation at a February anti-ICE protest were ultimately dropped, but the financial consequences remain.
Through it all, the people most affected have been Ian’s children. Like any father, Ian wants to provide stability, security, and support for his little ones. Instead, his family has spent months navigating the hardship and uncertainty that accompany legal proceedings and public scrutiny.

Now, Ian is seeking to move forward. In addition to supporting his family and recovering from the financial damage caused by these events, he is pursuing a civil lawsuit against the Springdale Police Department. Through that lawsuit, Ian hopes to challenge what he believes were violations of his rights and to seek accountability through the legal system.

Civil rights litigation is expensive. Even when someone believes strongly in their case, access to justice often depends on having the resources to pursue it. The costs of filing fees, litigation expenses, discovery, expert witnesses, and legal representation can quickly become overwhelming for an ordinary family.

Funds raised through this campaign will help:

• Replace income lost as a result of incarceration and court appearances
• Pay for basic necessities, including housing, utilities, transportation, and groceries
• Help fund Ian’s civil rights lawsuit and pursuit of accountability through the courts

This fundraiser is about more than one case. It is about ensuring that an ordinary person has the ability to stand up for what he believes, support his family, and pursue justice through lawful means.

Whether you know Ian personally, support civil liberties, care about government accountability, or simply believe that no family should face financial ruin because of a legal battle, your contribution can make a meaningful difference.

Every donation helps. If you are unable to contribute financially, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and networks is another powerful way to support Ian and his daughters.

In resistance and solidarity,
Ian‘s Friends, Family, & Community
