My family in Williamsfield and Thornton Hurricane Relief
My name is Abigail Brooks, and I know that we can help our community in a time of need. Hurricane Melissa ravaged parts of Williamsfield and Thornton, and they are in desperate need of assistance.
The Need: Over 150 homes have been reported destroyed due to the hurricane. Livestock has been lost, plumbing and electrical access has been disrupted, and people have no food or medical assistance available. The elderly are particularly vulnerable without the comforts of home.
The Relief: Donations will be used for getting in supplies/access as soon as possible to meet needs where basic human dignity can be restored. This includes but is not limited to:
Food and water,
Shelter
Sanitation kits
Medical assistance
Water purifiers
Temporary set up shelters
Counseling and support.
Additionally, we need to support the elderly population by offering them:
Home repairs
Grocery deliveries
Medication pick-ups
Companionship services
Assistance with tasks
The Goal: Your donation will make a difference as every little bit counts. My family in Williamsfield and Thornton deserve to be loved and supported when they’ve lost so much. Thank you for your donation to this incredible cause.
