I despise the fact that I am creating a 2nd GoFundMe not even 3 years after my oldest son was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Our family has been hit again, my youngest, yeah, my baby, has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and has a heck of a road ahead.

Meet Hunter, he is my old soul with a lot of sarcastic craziness attached. This young man is not afraid to take the road no one has traveled. At the height of 2020, just before he even turned 21, this young man packed up his little mini cooper with anything that would fit to include a parrot and cat and made his way from FL over to AZ to start his life. He has found true love with Ailis and in December of 2023 he proposed to this amazing young lady. By the way she said yes!

This young man, as well as his fiancé, are very hard-working young adults. Trying to make their way in these very challenging financial times. But they are pressing through it together.

One week they are out getting their marriage license and having ice cream to celebrate that, and the next Hunter sees the doc regarding a lump under his chin. They proceeded to scan and perform a needle biopsy. The Needle biopsy ruled out many cancers but couldn’t confirm or deny Hodgkin’s lymphoma. On 5/22/24 they performed a surgical biopsy and were able to remove the entire mass, but on 5/31/24 we got the news of that biopsy and confirmed the Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Between this all they thought he had sepsis, which thankfully that wasn’t the case but he did have the flu which caused more loss of work!

Hunter and Ailis will have a heavy treatment road ahead and some of which may prevent them from working resulting in loss of pay. What 24-year-old really feels they need to opt in for short /long term disability when they have to pay for it and they are already struggling to make ends meet? Even with insurance coverage the bills I’m sure you all know are piling up already and treatment has not yet even started.
