On July 14, 2026, our lives changed forever.

My brother, Hunter, and his fiancée, Madison, were involved in a devastating motorcycle accident when a vehicle pulled out in front of them on the highway. In an instant, everything they had planned for their future was turned upside down.

Hunter’s left leg was traumatically amputated at the scene of the accident. After arriving at the hospital, doctors discovered that blood flow to his right leg had been cut off due to a severed main artery. The incredible team at North Oaks Medical Center fought tirelessly through multiple surgeries to save his leg, but despite every effort, they were forced to amputate his right leg as well.

At just 25 years old, Hunter, a devoted father of four and a soon-to-be husband, became a double above-the-knee amputee.

In addition to losing both legs, Hunter suffered multiple broken bones, including his collarbone and pelvis. He spent 8 days in the ICU, followed by 8 more days on a surgical unit. On July 31, he was transferred to inpatient rehabilitation, where he has begun the difficult journey of learning to navigate life in a completely new way.

While Hunter was fighting for his life, Madison was transported to the burn unit in New Orleans, where she underwent multiple surgeries for severe road rash burns. She spent 13 days there before finally being able to return home on July 27. Although she is home, she continues to endure significant pain, requires daily wound care, frequent trips back to the burn unit, and is unable to return to work at this time.

We are incredibly grateful that Hunter and Madison are still with us. Their survival is nothing short of a miracle, but their road to recovery will be long, physically demanding, and financially overwhelming.

Before Hunter can even begin the process of being fitted for prosthetic legs, his insurance deductible must be met. In the meantime, they are facing mounting medical expenses, the cost of making their home wheelchair accessible, lost income, and the everyday needs of their four children, including diapers, baby food, and other essentials.

If you feel led to give, any donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward:

* Medical expenses and insurance costs
* Home modifications to make their home accessible
* Prosthetic-related expenses
* Daily living expenses while they are unable to work
* The needs of their four children

If you are unable to donate, we completely understand. We simply ask that you continue to pray for Hunter, Madison, their children, their families, and the medical teams caring for them. Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean more than words can express.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing beside our family during the most difficult season of our lives.
