Say hi to IU's premier South Asian competitive a cappella team: Humraah at IU! Composed of 16 passionate and talented musicians, our goal is to spread love and appreciation for South Asian and Western music across campus and beyond. From inspiring our community at IU’s Indian Student Association's Diwali to performing at fundraisers, galas, and benefit dinners, we continue to unite South Asian and Western styles through vibrant medleys to commemorate the beauty in both cultures.

Humraah has grown immensely since its founding in 2017, achieving new heights in the Association of South-Asian A Cappella (ASA) Circuit since joining two years ago.

This past season was monumental for us:

1st Place – Spartan Sitara (Michigan State University)

1st Place – Gathe Raho (University of Iowa)

1st Place – IU Sing (Indiana University’s All-A Cappella Competition)

3rd Place – All-American Awaaz (National A Cappella Competition- San Francisco)

As we prepare for another exciting year, we’re proud to share that the momentum from last season’s success has already opened doors for us. We’ve begun receiving invitations to perform at high-profile events even before our competition season begins. With this growth comes a greater need for resources to support our journey.
