Hummingbird Hollow Outdoors Farm Sanctuary is a small non-profit sanctuary on the outskirts of St. Louis. We are a 501c3, so you can use donations as a tax deduction.
We are raising money to continue caring for neglected, abused, and abandoned farm animals this winter. Our animals have been promised forever homes. Fundraising for animal rescues and sanctuaries has become very difficult; even the big sanctuaries are struggling.
We do our best to be self-sustaining by bringing in money with camping and glamping sites. We open our gates to people so that they can interact with the animals and enjoy the outdoors. We are always looking for additional ways to create income to care for the animals so that we don't have to ask the public for donations.
The last thing we want to do is beg for money. We live very frugally; our lives are dedicated to the animals. We don't have any fancy equipment, and we're okay with that, although right now we are using our old farm truck as our daily driver since we had the transmission go out in both of our trucks. We could really use a vehicle! The money we are fundraising for at this time is to:
1.) Help us pay for our basic feed cost of $100 a day.
2.) Build additional shelters and enclosures and add some fencing.
Our electric fencing has held up very well, but we really need permanent fences, and we desperately need a new donkey shelter.
3.) Build an emergency fund.
So at this time, our goal is to raise $10,000. Our ultimate goal is to be self-sustaining with our camping and glamping sites, Patreon, and individual animal sponsoring.
We believe in the power of positive energy, so we know that we will be able to continue the mission we are so passionate about, with the help of this community. Your donation will help us maintain Hummingbird Hollow Outdoors through the winter.
If you are unable to donate at this time, please share.
Thank you all so much!
We'll be updating this GoFundMe with more photos of the animals .
