Hi, my name is Deanna, and I’m setting up this GoFundMe to support my amazing sister-in-law, Hui Guo (Coco), and her beautiful family during what has been the most difficult time of their lives. Coco is the loving wife of my brother, Jason, and a devoted mom to their two children, Justin (15) and Chloe (13).

In March 2025, Coco was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. At the time, her doctors told her she likely had about a year to live. Since then, she has fought incredibly hard and faced every challenge with strength, courage, and positivity. Despite everything she has been through, the cancer has continued to spread to her lungs, liver, and now her heart. Her time with us is dwindling. As a family, it’s hard to fathom the reality of our situation. We are faced with the heartbreak that we may have much less time with someone we love so deeply than we ever imagined.

Even through her battle, Coco continues to make people laugh and bring warmth and happiness to those around her. She is truly one of the strongest people I know. Family has always been so important to Coco. She and her family love spending time together, especially outdoors. Their weekends are filled with biking, hiking, and cheering on the kids at speedskating. Coco is their biggest supporter, always on the sidelines cheering the kids on at their races, celebrating their accomplishments, and supporting them every step of the way. She is the person who always puts her family first. She is their anchor and the glue that holds them together.

Coco, Jason and their family are now facing an incredibly difficult road ahead, both emotionally and financially. Her illness has created a significant burden at a time when they should be able to focus on their time with one another. We’re hoping this GoFundMe can help take some of pressure off their shoulders, so their family can spend precious time together, make memories, and focus on what matters most.

If you’ve had the privilege of knowing Coco, you know how much love, laughter, and positivity she brings to the people around her. She has spent so much of her life caring for and giving to the people she loves. We hope to now come together and give some of that love back to her and her family.
