Support for Hugo After a Sudden Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer Diagnosis

On January 13th, Hugo’s life changed overnight when he woke up in severe pain and rushed to the ER—where he was devastatingly diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Just the day before, his only symptom had been mild stomach discomfort.

If you know Hugo, you know his contagious smile, big heart, and willingness to help anyone in need. He is a loving father to two young children who adore him and a deeply valued member of his family.

In the week leading up to his diagnosis, Hugo was already facing hardship when his vehicle broke down, forcing him into a rental car—the same car he had to drive to the ER. With treatment starting immediately, Hugo is unable to work and has suddenly lost his income while still facing rent, utilities, phone bills, and eventually ongoing transportation costs for treatment.
