We are coming together for someone who has always been there for others — a devoted husband, a loving father of three young children, and a truly selfless friend: Hugo Herrera.

Hugo was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 rectal cancer. While the tumor is still in an early stage, it has already reached nearby lymph nodes. His treatment will include chemotherapy, radiation, and possibly surgery, stretching over six months or more.

In his own words:

“It’s serious, but very treatable, and I’m staying strong — physically, mentally, and spiritually.”

Hugo is staying positive and focused on his health, but he will be unable to work during this time. As the primary provider for his family, this has created a huge financial strain on him, his wife, and their three young children.

Hugo and Sierra were initially hesitant to ask for financial help — they’ve always been the kind to handle things quietly, humbly, and on their own. But the weight of lost income, medical costs, and daily expenses can become too much to bear alone.

Now it’s our turn to show up for them.
