Support Hugh & Kelsey Gingerich's Medical Expenses

Hugh and Kelsey Gingerich are expecting a precious baby girl in October and recently received a devastating diagnosis that she has an open neural tube defect. This means that during the early weeks of her development, her spinal cord was not properly closed exposing her nerves.

Baby girl will require surgery immediately after birth to repair the opening in her spinal cord. She will likely experience lower leg weakness which will require physical therapy, and possibly braces, crutches or even a wheelchair at times. She may also require a brain shunt to help with drainage.

Hugh + Kelsey are prayerfully considering prenatal surgery which may increase her quality of life and her chances of walking/running - this comes with it's own risks, and expenses.

As you can imagine, the expenses and medical bills will be extensive. Hugh is self-employed and will need to take off a significant amount of time in the coming weeks and months. They are looking at several weeks of staying in an airbnb in Seattle before the birth, through surgery, and during baby girl's NICU stay. If they go ahead with the prenatal surgery they will spend several weeks in Houston, TX in the coming weeks.

Any funds raised will go directly to Kelsey + Hugh to cover medical expenses, hospital/NICU stays, surgery, physical therapy, specialists, tests, travel expenses, Airbnb fees, parking + gas, time off work and anything else that may arise.

Pray for Hugh + Kelsey as they make huge decisions for their family. Pray for a miracle of FULL and COMPLETE healing over baby girl, in Jesus' name. Pray for miraculous protection over Kelsey's womb and that baby sister will beat the odds and one day walk and run with her big brother. Pray for each doctor, nurse, and specialist placed on this case and that God's name will be glorified through it all. We praise the Lord for this sweet baby girl and know that she is loved and held by our Creator.
