My name is Sophie, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my father, Hugh Collis. At 76 years old, my dad has continued working simply to keep up with his living expenses. He’s always been strong, independent, and determined to provide for himself. But recently, while on the job, he suffered a serious fall that left him with a broken hip.

He went through major surgery, and while we are deeply grateful that it was successful, his recovery will be long, painful, and financially overwhelming. Seeing him in this condition—unable to stand, walk, or work—has been heartbreaking for all of us.
