Hudson is a bright and active 14-year-old who was at home with his family celebrating his mom's birthday when everything changed in an instant. He had been complaining of a headache, but no one could have imagined what would happen next. Hudson suddenly lost consciousness and had a seizure, sending his family into a whirlwind of fear and uncertainty. He was rushed to the emergency room, where doctors discovered he had suffered a parietal hemorrhage (bleeding in his brain) and swelling of his brain. To support his breathing, Hudson was placed on a ventilator and quickly transferred to Nationwide Children's Hospital for specialized care.
Yesterday, Hudson was successfully weaned off the ventilator, a huge step forward in his recovery. However, his journey is far from over. He will remain in the ICU for another two weeks, followed by 6 to 8 weeks of intensive inpatient rehabilitation. The road ahead is long and filled with challenges, but Hudson is a fighter, and his family is determined to be by his side every step of the way.
All funds raised will go directly to Hudson's family to help cover mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and everyday necessities for their other children. Andrea and Jason never imagined they would be in this position, and they are facing one of the hardest moments of their lives. Their focus is on Hudson's healing and rehabilitation, but the financial and emotional weight is overwhelming. If you are able to help—whether through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or keeping their family in your thoughts and prayers—they would be deeply grateful. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps ease the burden and allows them to focus on what matters most: Hudson's recovery. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this unimaginable time. The love and compassion of the community means everything to them right now.
