Help Huckleberry Walk Again
Our sweet dog Huckleberry needs urgent surgery - a procedure called a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy). This surgery repairs a torn cranial cruciate ligament in his knee (similar to an ACL tear in humans) and is the best option to restore stability, relieve pain and allow him to walk normally again.
Right now, Huckleberry is not putting any weight on his leg. Without surgery, his condition will continue to worsen, causing more pain and potentially permanent loss of mobility. The TPLO surgery will realign his knee joint using a specialized bone cut and metal plate so that he can move without pain - but the cost is more than we can afford at this time.
Huckleberry isn't just a pet, he's part of our family! He has the calmest demeanor, is incredibly gentle and loving, and has a way of winning everyone over he meets. If you've ever met Huckleberry, you know just how special he is to our family and friends.
We are reaching out to our friends, family, and anyone who loves to contribute to the well-being of our dogs who continuously give us their unconditional love. Every contribution - no matter the size - brings us closer to having our Huckleberry walk, play, and enjoy life without any pain again.
Thank you for helping us give Huckleberry back his mobility so he may continue to walk, swim, and play as our happy family dog.
With gratitude,
Samantha, Nick, Oliver, and Huckleberry
