Hi, my name is Horisun Antunee, and I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maine at Farmington with a double major in Creative Writing and Psychology. I’ve spent the last four years deeply engaged in academic work, service, leadership, and spiritual growth—and I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come. But more importantly, I’m hopeful and excited for what comes next.
During my time in college, I was a part of several meaningful communities and programs. I served as a Resident Assistant, Teacher’s Assistant, writing tutor, and peer mentor. I also edited UMF’s literary and honors journals, took part in research, and presented at academic conferences. Outside of the classroom, I led student organizations, including the Psychology Club and a campus stand-up comedy group, and was involved in creative and cultural initiatives across campus.
One of the most transformative aspects of my college experience was my involvement with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Through this ministry, I was able to grow in my faith, build lasting relationships, and participate in service rooted in Christ’s teachings—including a spring break trip to New Orleans, where we helped rebuild homes in underserved neighborhoods.
Right now, I’m entering a transitional season—applying to graduate programs, exploring creative and professional opportunities, and continuing to seek out ways to serve, learn, and grow spiritually. As exciting as this new chapter is, it also brings financial challenges: from relocation expenses and housing costs, to graduate school application fees, to creative and spiritual development programs that I’m eager to participate in but may not be able to afford on my own.
That’s why I’ve started this GoFundMe campaign. If you feel moved to support me during this time—whether through a financial gift or simply through prayer and encouragement—I would be deeply grateful. Your contribution will directly support:
Relocation and living expenses as I transition into the next phase of my life
Graduate school preparation and application fees
Creative and professional development opportunities (workshops, residencies, certifications, etc.)
Spiritual enrichment, including faith-based retreats, ministry opportunities, and continued involvement in communities like InterVarsity
This campaign isn’t just about funding my future—it’s about helping me stay grounded in my purpose, in service to others, and in the calling I feel to blend creativity, psychology, and faith in meaningful ways. Thank you for considering a gift, and for walking with me on this journey.
With love and gratitude,
